And then inside OpenElec just restore your backup.įinally, there should be no reason for that silent startup sound. Then do a toothpick method fresh install of 1.1.6, extracting: onto the root of your sd card (you don't have to remove your tar backup file from the sd card), and then install the latest OpenElec. First, run the OpenElec backup to ensure you XBMC and OpenElec stuff is backed up to a tar file and copy that onto a sd card for storage. I suggest, if you are curious, to start from scratch. I have had a number of different Android OS builds on my MX2, from 1.1.6 on, never 1.1.5, installed OpenElec on top of 1.1.6, and then 1.16 back on, a few different times, and never had that issue. I actually sent a private message to you regarding my customized skin since it is somewhat lengthy and not really applicable to this thread.Īnyway, hmmm, your silent startup sound baffles me. I find it unlikely that any XBMC setting from a previous Croniccorey MX Linux 1.00 firmware could survive this process. But then again, I started off with 1.1.5 firmware, updated it to 1.1.6 and then put OpenElec on it. The only thing I can think of, is that I didn't do a clear cache and database before flashing the box with the OpenElec firmware. I remember I saw it directly after flashing the box with OpenElec in the default skin as well. I'm guessing you made some fixes in the code to achieve this.īy the way, what happens if the Customized Confluence Mod skin gets an update? I've installed it via the original repository. ![]() I had to add all items to favorites and add these favorites to the submenu. Making the submenu the same couldn't be done the way I liked. I installed it yesterday on a different box, trying to make an iStream menu item. The Customized Confluence Mod skin looks nice anyway. I saw you post earlier today, I'll definitely try it. Thanks XBMCWayist! No need for an apology!
